Fiberglass Mesh Tape or Paper Drywall Tape?
When most people think of tape they think of scotch or masking tape. This type of tape serves to hold two pieces of paper together. Drywall tape serves a similar purpose in that it adds strength to the seams of gypsum panels of drywall. Drywall tape is used when finishing drywall joints to provide a strong bond where the two pieces of drywall meet. If there are slight movements due to settling, drywall tape will help to avoid excessive cracking. Traditionally paper tape is used when finishing drywall. In the late 1980's and early 1990's drywall supply shops began providing self adhesive fiberglass mesh tape as an alternative to paper tape. Should you use mesh or paper?

Paper Drywall Tape
Traditionally paper tape is used when finishing drywall joints. Most drywall tradesmen will say that paper tape is stronger than mesh drywall tape. Paper tape is better at preventing cracking along drywall seams. Paper tape folds easily and therefore is easily applied to corners to allow for crisp inside 90° corners. Paper tape can be applied with all purpose drywall compounds. It can also be used with quick-setting or hot mud.
Mesh Drywall Tape
Fiberglass mesh drywall tape can be likened to the rebar reinforcement placed in concrete slabs to increase the overall strength of the finished product. Fiberglass mesh tape is applied before drywall mud is applied to the seam where two panels of gypsum drywall board meet. Drywall mesh tape is sticky on one side to allow adhesion even before drywall mud is applied. Most drywall tradesmen will say that mesh tape is not as strong as paper tape and some refuse to use it altogether.
Some tradesmen have had success using mesh tape when used in conjunction with quick-setting drywall compound or hot mud. The mesh tape is bedded-in with a thin layer of quick-setting drywall mud and then feathered out with all purpose or lightweight all purpose drywall compounds. Most manufacturers recommend using quick-setting compound with mesh tape rather than all purpose pre-mixed mud. Fiberglass mesh tape can be used effectively when patching small holes where there is no consideration of structural movement in the underlying material. Very few if any tradesmen will use mesh tape in the corners because it does not fold well.
In summary, mesh tape can be used in many applications with similar results to that of paper tape. When using mesh tape, you should always use quick setting drywall mud for the first bed-in coat. Paper tape should always be used when taping inside corners to ensure crisp 90° angles.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to create rock, paper and scissors game using java.
For this game, we will need two players whose choices are independent of each other. Each outcome is dependent on the rules of the game. We will simulate similar behavior in our program. Below are the rules of the game as you all know:
- Rock beats Scissors.
- Scissors beats Paper.
- Paper beats Rock.
If both the players made the same choice, it is declared as a tie. Also, whoever wins the 2 or more rounds in 3 chances wins the game.
Java program for Rock, paper and scissors Game
The game will be played between user and the computer. Diamond club casino. The choices taken by the computer are independent of the choice of the user. At the end of the 3 rounds, the winner will be declared.
Firstly, we will create an array which contains all the possible choices for a single player.
The getComp() will generate choice taken by the computer by choosing a number randomly between 0-2 which will represent the index in the array of choices. Hence, we will use Random class to generate this number.
- java.util package contains Random class.
- An instance of Random class is used to generate random numbers.
- If two instances have the same seed value, then they will generate the same sequence of random numbers.

Therefore, we call nextInt() method on that instance to generate random number. The parameter passed to this function is the maximum permissible value of the generated number(Excluding the limit). The maximum value in this case is 3.
After that, user will be prompted to enter his/her choice. We will use the Java Scanner class to get user input.
- java.util package contains Scanner class
After creating an instance of Scanner class, we will use the nextLine() method to read Strings.
Java Code:
We will match the choice entered by the user to the index in the array of choices. Further, we will send both the integer values (representing computer and user choices respectively).
The getDecision(int, int) method will increment the score of the players on the basis of rules of the game. We have used switch case in this program. The control of the program will enter the switch cases if the choices entered by both the players is not same. Hence, switch case is kept in the else block.
Finally, we will display the choices made by both the players, along with the result of each round.
The getResult() method compares scores of both the players at the end of 3 rounds and prints the final result.
